ISO - (International Organization for Standardization) has spread remarkably in the world since its beginning and has had a major influence on company activities since it was established as JIS ( Japan International Standard) in Japan in 1991.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries established the JAS ( Japan Agriculture Standard) standard of organic farm products and organic processed foods.

The organic JAS mark indicates the appropriate description of an organic food. Imported products also have to be certified with the Organic JAS in order to sell products as organic, JAS products, in Japan.

This standard was originally established for manufacturing quality control of medical supplies. The United States extended the GMP standard to food, medicine, and cosmetics in 1962. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognized GMP, subsequently each country member adopted GMP in 1969. In Japan, in 1994, GMP was revised as the essential qualification for pharmaceutical manufacturers. At FINE our adherence to this recognized standard insures the quality of our operation.
